Meet Drea Pappas
A rising talent in the tattoo scene, Drea Pappas has been honing her craft for 3 years, starting out in the artistic heart of Hudson Valley, New York. Now just 21, Drea is already making waves with her passionate work in Japanese and black and grey tattoo styles.
Drea loves to bring American traditional, black and grey, and traditional Japanese imagery to life, specializing in dynamic designs that feature demons, dragons, fu dogs, and other iconic symbols of Japanese art. Inspired by the timeless allure of Japanese tattoo art and mythological creatures—and influenced heavily by her tattoo mentor—she is comfortable with all styles.
Her technical approach often features Hatchback Irons and generous globs of Talens Ink to create those deep, striking black and grey contrasts that set her work apart. Beyond the studio, Drea is super into music—she plays bass, enjoys live concerts, and is known for her skill at solving Sudoku puzzles.
